Joseph R. Farnsworth is a passionate and experienced divorce and family law attorney who serves clients throughout the State of Utah. Joe has 18 years of extensive courtroom experience throughout Southern Utah.
Joe has obtained successful outcomes for individuals in divorce and custody cases in mediations and in the courtroom. As a court-qualified mediator and experienced litigator, Joe has compassionately helped clients calmly and successfully navigate the difficulties of contentious family relationships in a wide variety of settings.
Additionally, Joe has successfully defended parents whose rights are being challenged by DCFS and the State in child welfare proceedings in juvenile court. Joe is a very experienced juvenile court attorney, having represented children in juvenile delinquency cases and as an Attorney Guardian ad Litem in child welfare matters. Joe relies on his knowledge, training, and experience in representing clients in all legal cases where their parental and familial rights are jeopardized.
Joe is also a former prosecutor and criminal defense attorney and has successfully tried hundreds of cases in front of both juries and judges. Joe has the knowledge and experience to guide you through life's many legal challenges.
In his free time, Joe loves spending time with his wife, children, and dogs in the mountains and deserts of Utah. Joe can also often be heard writing and recording music with his tenor saxophone and acoustic guitar.
